The 2019 vintage was one of the most challenging in recent memory. Severe frost, hail and exceptionally dry conditions dramatically reduced yields across the region, resulting in one of the smallest harvests on record. Yet from these challenging conditions emerged fruit of remarkable purity, concentration and character.
Picked early to preserve freshness and precision, the wine was cold fermented before being carefully cellared at the winery for five years prior to release. The result is a Riesling of extraordinary complexity and poise.
Freshly picked lime, kaffir lime and vibrant citrus flavours are carried by mouth-filling acidity and exceptional length, while gentle bottle maturation has begun to reveal delicate layers of honey and caramelised citrus.
