Tasting Notes

Early picking has produced a fresh, lively Riesling with a delicate green tinge and hints of freshly picked limes with just a touch of toast in the background.


The palate shows great fruit purity with a refreshingly crisp, dry finish. There is an abundance of natural acid which is long, austere and pure – this is a Wigan that is developing gently, still with good balance of primary fruit with added complexity of honey and savoury notes.

The structure strongly suggesting that this wine will cellar for many years to come.

Sourced solely from Ben Zander’s “Wroxton” Vineyard, situated at 500m above sea level atop the stunning Eden Valley.

This vineyard has all the hallmarks of a classic Eden Valley Riesling site – high altitude, shaly, schisty soil and adequate canopy ensuring the fruit remains in optimum condition throughout ripening.
