WINEMAKERS NOTES

The 2023 Peter Lehmann Portrait Shiraz is a rich and expressive Barossa Shiraz showcasing vibrant fruit, depth and balance from a cooler, later-ripening vintage. Deep crimson in colour with garnet hues, it opens with lifted aromas of cassis and subtle black olive notes.

The palate is plush and full flavoured, layered with ripe mulberry and blueberry fruit alongside savoury herbal and cigar-box characters from carefully selected French oak. Fine, supple tannins and balanced oak maturation create a smooth, generous wine with a long, fruit-driven finish.

Matured for 15 months in a combination of American and French oak hogsheads, this classic Barossa Shiraz is equally suited to hearty meals or relaxed evenings shared with friends.
