The trophy cabinet at Peter Lehmann Wines has donned a few very bright additions of late – from the Royal Adelaide Wine Show we’re delighted to accept the J B MacMahon Trophy For Best White Wine under $20, for our 2011 Art Series Classic Riesling …
…AND - The Australian Wine Research Institute Commercial Services Trophy for Best Riesling in Show for our 2006 Wigan Eden Valley Riesling.
Matt Skinner writing for ‘The Age’ newspaper in the Sunday Life section, has raised his glass to Peter Lehmann Wines 2005 Mentor Cabernet Sauvignon, writing –
“Drawing on some of the finest cabernet sauvignon grown in the Barossa, Mentor is a full-throttle, multi-layered animal in which smells of cassis, plum and blackberry knit beautifully with those of polished leather, cocoa and sandalwood. The palate is rich, mineral-textured, firmly structured and long.”
Chris Plummer is a younger generation wine drinker who loves promoting and educating fellow drinkers on the joys of Australian wine whilst continually learning himself. He managed to get his hands on our 1996 Stonewell Shiraz for a taste and a subsequent review! Click here to read…
Resident Riesling-lover (and coincidentally PLW’s Cellar Door Manager) Daniel ‘Matchy’ Mattschoss did another sterling job of manning our stall at this year’s Good Food & Wine Show in Adelaide last weekend and reported a healthy increase in numbers in general from last year’s crowd. Matchy said it was a great opportunity to show off a number of our new wines (and labels!) - in particular our brand-newies, the 2011 Art Series Pinot Grigio , 2011 Art Series Sauvignon Blanc and our lovely VSV(Very Special Vineyard) 2006 1885 Shiraz , which all proved to be very popular indeed!
