Winestate Magazine has reviewed quite a few of our firm favourites, in their September/October edition –
“2008 Futures Shiraz – Soft, brooding nose and flavoursome, ripe fruit palate. Simple and wholesome.”
“2006 Margaret Barossa Semillon – Lively, vibrant and complex style with incredibly classy fruit. The citrusy nose is starting to show toasty/buttery notes, followed by plenty of varietal flavours on a creamy palate. Very good wine.”
Tyson Stelzer writes a review on our 2006 Stonewell Shiraz, in WBM Magazine –
“Stonewell is the finest modern Barossa Shiraz and ’06 is like none that has come before it. Nothing else compares in profound longevity, concentrated power and uncompromising composure. 97points.”
Katrina Holden from ‘Sip Your Style’ website gave comment to our new-look labels, whilst indulging in a sip or two of PLW’s 2009 Portrait Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon. Click here to read…

USA
The Wine Spectator Magazine has written a favourable review of our flagship red, 2006 Stonewell Shiraz, giving it a healthy 92 point score –
“Firm in texture and nicely modulated in structure, with well-mannered blackberry and licorice flavours playing against fine tannins, persisting well. ” Harvey Steiman
The ‘Editor’s Choice’ for the latest edition of the Wine Enthusiast Magazine is Peter Lehmann’s Classic Muscat.
“92 Points. (Excellent/Highly Recommended). Fortified Muscats from the Barossa are rare these days, but this is a delicious stickie well worth trying. It delivers cherry-scented toffee and toasted walnuts on the nose, then adds caramel to the mix. It’s nicely balanced between fruit and nutty complexity.” Joe Czerwinski

The selected of the week:
Peter Lehmann Barossa Shiraz 2008
"This is a good example that not all wine from Australia are futile alcoholic juice. Big and appealing Shiraz wine. Interesting aromas of blackcurrant, black pepper and mint. Rich wine that gives a big mouth feeling. This is a excellent wine with the falls lamb dishes. Dice 5 of 6 – 80 points"
