Management Group
The management group is responsible and accountable for the development and evaluation of the strategic direction and company policy. The group puts the strategy and policies before the board of directors for discussion and endorsement.
Members of the management group are responsible for the implementation of strategy and policy, effectively conducting the business and directing the various functions of the business to achieve cohesion. They are accountable for specified areas of the business and this means being responsible for the direction determined, decisions made, dollars spent and actions taken.

Doug Lehmann FAID Managing Director (born 1952)
In 1971, as a 19 year old, Doug Lehmann started his career in the wine industry as a cellar-hand. On-the-job experience and years of training as a winemaker mean that Doug has an outstanding knowledge of winemaking practices and the production process.
His knowledge of and expertise in mechanics, combined with his winemaking skills and overall business acumen, equip him well to manage an agriculturally-based, capital intensive, manufacturing business. Doug has been Managing Director of Peter Lehmann Wines since the company was publicly listed in 1993.

Kay Clapton BEd, GradDipAcc, FCA, FCIS CFO & Company Secretary (born 1954)
Following a 6 year stint as a high school teacher, Kay returned to university to study accounting. She was subsequently employed by a multinational accounting firm which equipped her with great financial and business acumen across a wide range of industries. In 1988 Kay brought this experience and knowledge to the wine industry when she joind PLW as Financial Controller. She played a key role when the company listed in 1993, in particular the preparation of the Prospectus.
Kay combines the Company Secretary and CFO roles. She leads the finance and administration team and is responsible for finance, day-to-day shareholder matters, corporate issues, risk management and legal compliance.

Andrew Wigan BAppSc (Chem), RDO Chief Winemaker (born 1949)
Widely acknowledged as one of most versatile and skilled winemakers in Australia, Andrew Wigan has been honing his craft as a winemaker for over 30 years - almost all of them under the watchful eye of Peter Lehmann.
As skilled at making big red wines as he is at making elegant white wines, Andrew leads the company’s committed and highly-skilled team of winemakers. He is ultimately responsible for supervising the laboratory technicians and cellar-hands. Andrew is also responsible for day-to-day occupational health and safety.

Paul Turale BBus(Mktg), MBA Global Marketing Manager (born 1968)
Paul joined Peter Lehmann Wines in early 2008 and brought to the company significant marketing experience compiled over two decades with two multinational corporations. He now leads the Marketing, Hospitality and Cellar Door teams at Peter Lehmann Wines with the goal of ensuring that all facets of the brand experience are motivating and engaging in an ever changing, dynamic global market.

Tania Brown BEng-Chem (Hons), BSc, MBA Operations Manager (born 1970)
Tania joined Peter Lehmann Wines in 2002 and brought to the company 10 years experience in beverage packaging, customer service and supply-chain management. She has extensive experience in quality assurance, forecasting, warehousing and managing inventory levels, which she did at one of Australia’s largest wineries.
As Peter Lehmann Wines’ Operations Manager, Tania leads the packaging and warehouse staff, bringing together sales-forecasting and the packaging of available wine to ensure customer requirements are met.

Hans Astrom President Hess Family Distribution Europe (born 1961)
In 2000 Hans joined Peter Lehmann Wines bringing to the company his training as a sommelier and his experience as purchasing and/or beverage manager for a number of international hotel chains.
Hans is fluent in English, Scandinavian, German and French. With his wine industry experience and his deep understanding of the nuances of the European market, Hans has significantly raised the profile of Peter Lehmann wines in many of our European markets.
Hans Astrom brings his considerable brand building skills to work with colleagues at Hess Collection Winery, our sister company which imports Peter Lehmann Wines into the important USA market.

Howard Duncan Export Manager - Canada, Asia & Middle East (born 1966)
Joining Peter Lehmann Wines in 2005, Howard brings a new level of focus on Asia. His 10 years in a senior international business management role with one of world’s largest wine companies brings experience in sales, marketing, brand development, commercial negotiations and distributor management.
As Export Manager for Asia, Canada, the Middle East and other emerging markets, Howard is responsible for managing an extensive network of leading wine importers and distributors across 2/3rds of the world. Needless to say, he’s rarely sighted at home in the Barossa.

Michael Every General Manager Sales Australia & New Zealand (born 1961)
Mike joined Peter Lehmann Wines in late 2003 and brings some 20 years experience within the Liquor Industry, specialising in retail, sales, marketing and business management. He has extensive industry experience in sales, distributor and key account management as well as a keen eye for data research and interpretation of numbers.
As Peter Lehmann Wines General Manager of Sales, Mike leads the team of state based Market Managers and works closely with our Marketing Department and Distributors in Australia and NZ.

Mick Anderson Winery Projects & Maintenance Manager
Mick has been a part of Peter Lehmann Wines since the beginning. Working as an Apprentice Engineer at Saltram Wines, when Peter asked him to join him the new venture Mick jumped at the chance.
After some 30 vintages with the company, and countless building & engineering projects Mick's enthusiam and passion for the business remains strong.
Mick leads a talented team of maintenance guys, and is on the constant look out to improve the winery's output both environmentally and efficiently.
